Restylane® is made up of a natural substance called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid has hydrophilic properties meaning it is attracted to water and fills wrinkles of the face by attracting water to the site to bind to it. This process leaves a soft, supple and natural correction to the face. The Restylane® collection of fillers includes: Restylane® (the original filler), Restylane® Silk, Restylane® Lyft, Restylane® Defyne, Restylane® Refyne, and the newest addition Restylane® Contour. Renee will use her expertise to help you choose which filler is best for you.
At your consultation, Renee Hinojosa, Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist at the Age Management Institute in Reno will inform you about how Restylane® works, what results you can expect to achieve and what the appropriate post-treatment regime should be. After preparing the treatment area by cleansing and applying numbing cream, Renee will inject the Restylane® gel into the areas of the face to achieve the desired aesthetic effect. Restylane® fillers have lidocaine within the gel making the treatment very tolerable. Treatment typically takes less than an hour and after treatment, there might be some slight redness and swelling of the treated area, which should dissipate within one to two days.
