How to stay as active as possible

All of us are guilty of being lazy every once in awhile; it seems to be tied into human nature somehow. When we are trying to lose weight, being lazy is the worst thing you can do. However, there are some easy tips to help lessen our lazy tendencies:

For example, when you park your car (ladies, only do this during the day to keep you safer) park further away from the entrances of where you are going. This forces you to walk a little bit and the distances are not long at all, making this effortless.

Another example, is taking the stairs over the elevator. We are telling you to climb 60 stories in favor on an elevator, but a couple stories will get your heart pumping, and that little extra push of exercise does nothing but benefit you.

A great tip for when you are at restaurants, is to cut your plate in half, meaning, you don’t eat everything on the plate, instead, eat a healthy portion and then take the rest home for later. This is not only friendly on the waistline, but also on your wallet.

When you are anywhere, we also recommend limiting your alcohol consumption; drinking water is much better for you and is free! Probably the most important thing to do is to surround yourself with positive people who encourage healthy decisions.

Don’t surround yourself with people who are going to challenge your healthy goals and stand in the way of your results. While it does take a lot of willpower to lose weight and change your lifestyle, you don’t have to do it alone. Having someone in your corner not only motivates you, but also holds you accountable to someone other than yourself!
