Healthy Green Smoothies

In today’s world, we are always running from one thing to the next. We understand how hard it can be to plan meals and make sure you are eating healthy, while still getting everything you need done. The meal that gets sacrifices the most unfortunately is breakfast, which many argue as the most important meal of the day. Skipping breakfast really does hinder you, by not eating breakfast you are slowing down your metabolism for the day, are more prone to highs and lows, and can often feel fatigued throughout the day.

 

Since we are all so busy, we have some up with some super healthy green smoothies you can easily prepare! We are packing these full of vitamins, mineral and antioxidants to give you the most out of a meal. Happy Blending!

 

Collard Greens Smoothie with Mango and Lime

Serves 2

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice

2 cups stemmed and chopped collard greens (can substitute spinach)

1 ½ cups frozen mangos

1 cup green grapes

Directions:

Combine in blender and puree until smooth, adding water if needed until desired consistency.

 

Spinach Smoothie with Avocado and Apple

Serves 2

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups apple juice (sugar free or organic pressed)

2 cups stemmed and chopped spinach or kale

1 apple unpeeled, cored and chopped

½ avocado, chopped

Directions:

Combine in blender and puree until smooth, adding water if needed until desired consistency is reached.

 

Kale Smoothie with Pineapple and Banana

Serves 2

Ingredients:

½ cup coconut milk (unsweetened)

2 cups stemmed and chopped kale

1 ½ cups chopped pineapple

1 ripe banana

Directions:

Combine in blender and puree until smooth, adding water until desired consistency reached.
